The opening ceremony welcomed the attendance of Ms. Nguyễn Thị Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People’s Committee, and Ms. Trần Thị Mẫn, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City.
Under the theme Enhancing People-to-People Exchanges and Strengthening Vietnam–China Friendship, the contest was a meaningful activity celebrating the 75th anniversary of Vietnam–China diplomatic relations and the Vietnam–China Year of People-to-People Exchanges. The event served not only as an academic platform for students passionate about Chinese language, but also as a bridge fostering cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.
This year’s Final Round brought together 25 contestants nationwide. Each contestant delivered a speech of up to six minutes, scored on a 100-point scale. Based on these scores, the judging panel selected the top nine finalists for ranking and awards, including 01 First Prize, 03 Second Prizes, 05 Third Prizes, 16 Consolation Prizes, and 01 Special Prize for the most impressive preliminary video submission.
Representing the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, student Trần Thị Bình impressed the judges and audience with her confident stage presence, persuasive delivery, and excellent command of the Chinese language, ultimately winning Second Prize. Her achievement reflects her dedication and hard work and further affirms the strong academic reputation of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam at national-level competitions.
The Organizing Committee highly commended the effort and determination of all contestants and expressed confidence that the contest will continue to grow in the coming years, contributing to deeper friendship and cooperation within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Vietnam and China.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that DAV students have excelled at the contest. In 2022, students Hoàng Thái Sơn and Nguyễn Thu Phương won Second Prize and a Consolation Prize, respectively. In 2023, students Trương Thị Bảo Linh and Nguyễn Thị Hoài Thương attained Second Prize and Third Prize. In 2024, student Nguyễn Khánh Hồng continued this strong performance by receiving Second Prize.
These consecutive achievements highlight the quality of DAV’s Chinese language training and recognize the continuous efforts of its students, supported by their families, lecturers, and friends. They also serve as important motivation and valuable preparation for students of the Faculty of Chinese Language, and the DAV as a whole, to confidently pursue academic excellence in both domestic and international arenas.
