Diplomatic Academy Strengthens the Composition of
Council of Science and Training

On 18 April 2025, Dr. Nguyễn Hùng Sơn, President of the Diplomatic Academy, signed Decision No. 548/QĐ-HVNG on the consolidation of the membership of the Council of Science and Training for the 2025–2029 tenure, and Decision No. 549/QĐ-HVNG promulgating the Regulations on the organization and operation of the Council.

The Council of Science and Training of the Diplomatic Academy for the 2025–2029 tenure comprises 15 members. The President of the Academy serves as Chairman of the Council, while the Vice Presidents in charge of training and scientific research serve as Vice Chairpersons. The Council members include representatives of the head of several departments and functional units of the Academy, along with distinguished scholars representing various academic fields and disciplines. The Council is mandated to provide advisory support to the President on matters related to training, scientific research, technology, and innovation, thereby contributing to the effective fulfilment of the Academy’s functions, duties, and delegated authority.

The Council convenes at least once every academic semester at the request of the Chairman. The Chairman may also call for extended sessions or extraordinary meetings when deemed necessary to advise the President on matters such as: developing regulations governing training, scientific and technological activities, and innovation; formulating plans for the development of the Academy’s faculty, researchers, and staff; designing proposals for the establishment of new academic disciplines or training programs; and other matters falling within the Council’s legally mandated authority.
