


Also attending the meeting were Mr. Corentin Houchet, French Embassy’s First Secretary in charge of international political affairs, along with representatives from various departments of the DAV, including the Institute for Foreign Policy and Strategic Studies, the East Sea Institute, the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy, the French Faculty, and the External Relations Division.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed recent achievements in the collaboration between DAV, the French Embassy, and various French partners. Highlights included the expansion of consulting services for studying in France, the signing of an academic exchange cooperation agreement between DAV and Sciences Po Paris, and the signing of a Letter of Intent between DAV and the Embassy in October 2024.
In the context of the increasingly comprehensive development of the Viet Nam–France relationship, demonstrating high levels of trust and close ties, Amb. Olivier Brochet highly appreciated the close cooperation between DAV and French institutions and expressed his desire for the two sides to continue promoting initiatives in training, research, student exchange, as well as academic dialogue on regional and global strategic issues. The Ambassador also proposed holding regular exchange meetings to maintain a consistent and effective dialogue channel between DAV and the Embassy.
For his part, Dr. Nguyen Hung Son expressed appreciation for the Embassy’s active support for the Academy, welcomed the proposed initiatives, and suggested that both sides continue to promote cooperation in training, research, and exchanges of students, lecturers, and researchers in the time ahead.

The meeting took place in a sincere and open atmosphere. At its conclusion, both sides agreed to maintain regular dialogue, actively implement existing agreements, and explore new, practical directions for cooperation in line with the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Viet Nam and France./.
