


At the beginning of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh expressed her pleasure in welcoming H.E. Didier Le Bret and the delegation from the French Diplomatic and Consular Academy. She provided an overview of the functions, responsibilities, and key activities of the DAV, including undergraduate and postgraduate training, professional development for diplomatic officers, as well as research and policy consultation for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Vice President also shared the Academy’s development orientation for the coming time, emphasizing efforts to expand its academic cooperation network and strengthen expert exchanges with international partners.

For his part, H.E. Didier Le Bret thanked Vice President Lan Anh and the DAV for their warm and gracious welcome. He shared about the establishment and operation of the Diplomatic and Consular Academy under the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, highlighting ongoing reforms to make diplomatic training more modern, practical, and closely aligned with the realities of diplomatic work. He also emphasized the Academy’s focus on expanding international cooperation with other diplomatic academies around the world, creating a network for experience sharing, and engaging more deeply with youth and the private sector in the field of diplomacy.

The two sides discussed potential areas for future cooperation, including maritime security, international law, and academic exchanges between experts and researchers. The French side expressed its desire for the two Academies to continue maintaining close cooperation, actively participate in each other’s activities and events, and jointly organize future programs and conferences.

Concluding the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh thanked H.E. Didier Le Bret for his sincere and substantive sharing, expressing her hope that the two sides will continue to maintain communication and enhance cooperation in training and research, thereby contributing to deepening the friendship and partnership between the two Academies and between Viet Nam and France as a whole./.
