12th Congress of the Vietnam National Union of Students - Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), Term 2025-2028: Continuing and Elevating the Diplomatic Identit

The 12th Congress of the Vietnam National Union of Students - Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) for the 2025-2028 term has concluded with remarkable success. As an event of significant political importance, the Congress reviewed and evaluated the Union’s work and student movements during the 2023-2025 term, honored outstanding individuals and collectives, and elected a new Executive Committee to lead student affairs in the upcoming period.

On the afternoon of May 30, 2025, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam solemnly convened the 12th Congress. The Congress was honored to welcome the Academy’s Board of Directors; representatives of the Hanoi Students’ Union; delegates from various universities across the city; together with a large number of distinguished guests and exemplary DAV student representatives.

During the first session, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Credentials Committee; adopted the Congress agenda; and approved the working regulations along with several related reports. The session proceeded to the 1st Conference of the 12th Executive Committee of the DAV Students’ Union for the 2025-2028 term.

Throughout the Conference, delegates elected the Standing Committee, the President, and Vice Presidents of the Students’ Union for the new term. Twenty-one outstanding students, embodying the dynamism and intellectual spirit of DAV’s pioneering generation, were entrusted to serve in the Executive Committee for the 2025-2028 term-promising to contribute significantly to student affairs and university-wide movements.

During the second session, the Congress continued with key agenda items. Delegates heard the Report on the Union’s Work and Student Movements (2023-2025) and the Orientation Report for the New Term. Two presentations were delivered-one by Nguyễn Quốc Dũng and another by DAVMUN - DAV Model United Nations Club-offering practical proposals to make Union activities more engaging, innovative, and aligned with students’ needs and expectations.

In addition, individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements were honored by the Academy’s Board of Directors and the Students’ Union. These recognitions not only reflect the dedication of talented DAV students but also serve as motivation and inspiration for the entire student body.

The 12th Congress adopted several significant orientations for student affairs and Union activities for the 2025-2028 term. These directions underscore the commitment to innovation in activity planning while reaffirming the goal of building a dynamic, creative, and internationally integrated learning environment for DAV students.

With strong trust and consensus from the delegates, the new Executive Committee pledged to uphold DAV’s traditions while continuously innovating and enhancing the quality of student activities. The Committee affirmed its commitment to supporting students in their academic, personal, and professional development - contributing to shaping a generation of dynamic, confident, and globally oriented DAV students in the new era.
