From January 5 to January 13, 2023, students of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam had the opportunity to participate in a cultural exchange program in South Korea, exploring academic environments and experiencing the country's rich cultural heritage across Busan and Seoul.

From January 5 to January 13, 2023, the Training Department of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam organized a cultural exchange and academic engagement program with partner universities in South Korea.

Dr. Vũ Tuấn Anh, Dean of the Faculty of International Communication and Culture, together with outstanding students of Cohort 46.

As part of the program, eight high-achieving students from Cohort 46 of the International Communication major under the Faculty of International Communication and Culture visited and interacted with students at several leading universities in Busan and Seoul, including Busan University of Foreign Studies, Sungshin Women’s University, and Sogang University. The exchange provided a meaningful platform for students from both countries to share academic experiences, research interests, and cultural values, while fostering potential future cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy and top institutions in South Korea.

In addition to academic activities, the students from the Faculty of International Communication and Culture had the chance to explore various aspects of Korean culture—from its diverse cuisine and iconic landmarks to traditional clothing and customs. Immersed in the vibrant cultural landscape, the students not only enriched their knowledge but also introduced elements of Vietnamese culture to their Korean peers.

FICC students met with Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Vũ Tùng, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Viet Nam to the Republic of Korea and former President of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

The cultural exchange program concluded successfully, offering participants a deeper understanding of Korean cultural values that will support their studies and research at the Academy. The program also allowed students to experience a new learning environment, expand their international networks, and enhance their foreign language skills.

Beyond student benefits, the program has opened new avenues for cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and universities in South Korea. It also lays the groundwork for future cultural exchange initiatives, contributing to the Academy’s goal of building a practical, internationally oriented learning environment for its students.
