

On November 6, 2018, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam solemnly held the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Center for Scientific Information (CSI) and 25th anniversary of the International Studies Review (ISR) with the participation of about 80 delegates. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Vu Tung, President of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam chaired the ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Mr. To Anh Dung, Assistant Minister, Director General of Personnel and Organization Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; representatives of the Central Theoretical Council; representatives of a number of units in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; generations of leaders and staff of the CSI, representatives of a number of research institutes and journals of relevant ministries and branches.

On this occasion, the CSI and ISR were honored to receive congratulatory letters from the Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh; congratulations flower baskets of Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and units of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and partner agencies.

The director of the CSI said that this was a special day when the center celebrated two major events, the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the center and 25th anniversary of publishing the ISR. Mr. Duong Thanh Binh also reviewed the development of the ISR and CSI, their achievements and directions in the coming time.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Vu Tung, President of DAV congratulated the staff of CSI and ISR on their overall achievements in the past years, acknowledging and highly appreciating their efforts. He also emphasized that he will continue to support and create favorable conditions for them to effectively implement their activities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. To Anh Dung, affirmed his respect for the center and journal's contributions to the academy in particular and the work of the foreign affairs in general.

Mr. To Anh Dung also emphasized that the Director-General of Personnel and Organization Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs will pay attention to consolidating the leader staff at all levels of the unit so that the CSI and ISR continue to develop their tradition, innovate and being creative in professional work to accomplish more outstanding achievements.
After the celebration, there was a seminar on the orientation of the ISR which was chaired by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Vu Tung. The seminar included the discussions to reposition the ISR and find out solutions to further improve the quality and enhance its position in the academic research community on international relations in Vietnam and the region in the coming time./.
