On the morning of June 4, 2024, students from the K50 Asia-Pacific Studies – Korean Studies program embarked on a highly successful field trip to the Korean Gallery at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. The visit left a lasting impression, creating meaningful memories for both faculty and students.

At the gallery, the Korean Studies students had the opportunity to dive deep into South Korea's rich cultural, historical, and social tapestry—a unique blend of time-honored traditions and modern influences. The experience was further enriched by engaging in various folk games and interactive activities within the museum’s grounds.

This practical session, part of the Korean Area Studies course, featured a guest lecture by Dr. Đỗ Thanh Thảo Miên, lecturer of the Faculty of International Relations and Diplomacy with the support of Mr. Kim Dongju. Through Dr. Miên’s insightful lesson, history and culture came to life. Students explored the significance of various artifacts and enjoyed cinematic tours of Korea’s famous landmarks and scenic spots through vivid video presentations. Notably, the students were captivated by the display of traditional attire across different historical periods, gaining a clear vision of the Korean way of life from ancient times to the present day.

Reflecting on the trip, the students expressed their sincere gratitude: "We would like to thank the faculty of the Asia-Pacific Studies department for organizing this field trip, providing us with such a valuable and practical learning experience."
