With more than 60 years of foundation and development, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam is a public non-business organization directly under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The academy performs the function of strategic research on international relations and foreign policies; training undergraduate and graduate students and fostering foreign affairs capabilities. In the context of the rapidly changing world and regional situation and that the country is actively integrating into the world and affirming its position in international politics, the Academy is deeply aware of the mission of training high quality human resources. In the field of training, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam is known not only as a methodical and professional teaching facility, but also an environment with many advantages in foreign language training and extracurricular activities, thus opening up many opportunities for young Vietnamese who aspire to integrate with the international community.

Students are the "powerful" generation, holding the country's future and destiny. Yet the demands and responsibilities for young people are extremely great. In today's context of globalization and extensive international integration, students in general and Vietnamese students particularly not only have to master professional knowledge, extensive social knowledge but also need to continuously develop skills, forging their courage to become global citizens. Being aware of that, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam always facilitates comprehensive development for students with advantages that are not easily found in other universities in the country.

The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam sets the top priority in developing and fostering a contingent of staff and lecturers. At the Academy, lecturers are always facilitated to participate in short and long-term training courses and exchange teaching and research experience at prestigious universities around the world. At the same time, they are also professional diplomats, directly involved in foreign policy planning and implementation and undertaking diplomatic work at Vietnamese representative missions abroad. The practical career experiences have enabled the lecturers to impart extensive expertise and create numerous competitive advantages for the students of the Academy.

The Academy focuses periodically on making program adjustments and training modalities as close to cutting-edge training programs as being implemented at prestigious regional and international universities such as Victoria Wellington University (New Zealand), Flinders University (Australia), Washington Law University (USA)... Besides providing in-depth and up-to-date expertise in the fields of International Relations, International Economics, International Communication, International Law, etc., the Academy promotes the training of essential skills, thereby helping students in their future careers, including: crisis solving skills, negotiation skills, skills, translation and translation skills, etc. The training program of the Academy ensures that students can use at least one of three foreign languages (English, French or Chinese) after graduation.
