Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs’ Working Visit to Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam

Speaking at the inauguration, DAV Acting Director Pham Lan Dung thanked Australian Embassy for supporting the Academy.

Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marise Payne expressed her honor to contribute to the DAV’s development, on the basis of the Academy’s significant role in Vietnam’s foreign affairs. She also expressed her pride in the strong cooperative relation between Vietnam and Australia. She expected this contribution would serve DAV students’ studies well. 

Besides tables, chairs, bookshelves and computers, there are more than 20 sets of Australian-style pictures. Australian Embassy to Vietnam affirmed that this grant aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, promoting Australia's image as a great destination for education, tourism and employment.

On the basis of the fact that Vietnam and Australia strategic relations have become effective, education cooperation of the two countries has been promoted, making an important contribution to implementing economic goals and developing sustainable human resources.

Vietnam and Australia are strategic partners in numerous fields. So far, a number of seminars namely the South China Sea Conference, Vietnam - Australia Dialogue on Maritime Cooperation, series of Indo-Pacific Strategic Dialogue 2021, etc. have been co-organized by Australia and the DAV.
