Ceremony for Scientific and Humanistic Book Donation by Wallonie-Brussels Delegation

On 25/10/2012, Mr. Christian Bourgoignie, Chief Representative of Wallonie Brussels in Vietnam had a meeting at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV).

During the meeting, Mr. Dang Dinh Quy, DAV President said that although French language no longer boasts an advantage, the cooperation among French-speaking countries is still of significance. This is one of the important diplomatic channels which creates and brings opportunities and benefit to Vietnam. Therefore, Mr. Quy expressed his hope that DAV would continue to receive support from the delegation, especially in training and developing French-speaking staff in the coming time.

On this occasion, Mr. Christian donated a number of scientific and humanistic books to DAV. Belgium is among the countries with developed scientific and social research facilities. Thus, Mr. Christian believes these books would be precious resources for the research of DAV faculty staff and students.

Also during the meeting, Mr. Christian said that the 2013-2015 cooperation programs between Wallonie-Brussels delegation and Vietnam would be discussed by the end of this year.
