Closing and Awarding Ceremony of “Reading Culture Ambassadors 2020” contest

     On September 23th, at Conference Room B, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the Reading culture Ambassadors contest 2020 was held by the Center for Information and Communication in collaboration with the Training Board and the Academy’s Youth Union.

     The contest “Reading culture Ambassadors”, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was widely launched on the national scale. The contest includes 2 rounds (the provincial preliminary round and the national finale). The contest "Reading Culture Ambassadors 2020" creates a fun and useful cultural space for all readers, and those who love books to have the opportunity to meet and exchange books and "Reading Culture".

   After nearly 3 months of launching, especially in the time of the pandemic’s outbreak and complication, schools’ online teaching and learning to ensure the requirement of social distancing, the contest still attracted the great attention of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam’s students. The judges had to work and consider carefully to choose the 10 most excellent and criteria-satisfied products with different styles and colors!

     The highlight of this year's competition is the quality of the contestants’ products. Many articles have creativity in presentation and most of them show their sharing about love of books, the benefits and importance of reading in learning and personality training, as well as suggestions to spread the love of reading in the community.

     After the preliminary round of the “Reading Culture Ambassadors” contest in 2020, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates of 01 First Prize, 2 Second prizes, 03 Third prizes, 04 Consolation prizes for 10 excellent entries and 01 Group prize for the Academy's Book Club with the most number of entries and the highest quality. All winning entries in the preliminary round were sent by the Organizing Committee to the final round, which is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

     The Reading Culture Ambassadors 2020 Contest is an activity of practical significance, thereby promoting the reading movement and finding young people who are eager to read books and can recommend good books and improve skills and experience in reading, arousing passion, love for reading among students while studying at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
