

The program is organized based on the initiative of promoting exchanges and mutual understanding among young people in the Mekong - Lancang region. Specifically, the program includes a series of training activities, in-depth discussions to help students and fellows better understand international politics and economics as well as the relations among countries in the Mekong Cong - Lancang cooperation.

The delegation included students of the DAV: Dao Le Linh Chi from class LQT43C, Tran Kieu Chinh (TA43C), Tran Lien Huong (CT43C), Tran Minh Quang (KT43B), Nguyen Khac Tuyen (TT43C), Nguyen Thi Thu Van (CT43A) and staffs from the Institute for Foreign Policy and Strategic Studies: Han Lam Giang, Vu Phuong Anh. Under the guidance of Lecturer of the English Faculty M.A Do Thi Thu Phuong, the delegation actively participated in activities within the framework of the program such as: Learning about foreign policies of countries in the community, discussing and proposing solutions for common challenges of countries in the Mekong - Lancang region, etc. The solutions focus on three areas including sustainable development, agriculture - poverty eradication and water resources problems.
The students and fellow simulated the Mekong - Lancang Cooperation Summit, thereby voicing the views and stances of each country on the complex regional issues, simultaneously, proposing recommendations contributing to a sustainable community.

In addition, the delegation had the opportunity to visit many Chinese schools and research institutes such as Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, China Institute for Reform and Development (Hainan), Hainan Tropical Ocean University, etc. Particularly, the delegation attended a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

Apart from academic activities, the program is also an opportunity for countries in the Mekong - Lancang Cooperation to enhance mutual understanding in the field of culture - sports. Exchange activities such as badminton competitions and art performances have truly united the future diplomats, helping them understand better the cultural characteristics of each country in the community. Also, their visits to famous Chinese historical sites are also an opportunity for delegations to experience the unique cultural features here.

After 2 weeks with many interesting activities, the training course is considered to be a very successful program as it opened opportunities for young people in the Mekong - Lancang region to meet, exchange and discuss to resolve common issues of the Mekong - Lancang community.
