DAV Signs MoU with Diplomatic Academy of Croatia

On 19 May 2026, on the occasion of the official visit to Viet Nam by Mr. Gordan Grlić Radman, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, Vice President of the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam (DAV), represented the Academy at the talks between Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung and Minister Gordan Grlić Radman, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Diplomatic Academy of Croatia, witnessed by the two Ministers.

The event marked a new step forward in the cooperative relationship between the two countries' leading institutions for diplomatic training and foreign policy research. Signing on behalf of the Croatian side was H.E. Mr. Ivan Velimir Starcevic, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Vietnam.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed with a view to promoting cooperation and maintaining regular exchanges between the two sides in the fields of training and research. Accordingly, the two Academies will strengthen the exchange of experience, share modern methodologies in diplomatic training, and advance cooperation in research areas including foreign policy, international relations, international law, and regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The two sides also agreed to promote exchanges of scholars, experts, lecturers, and researchers; to jointly organise forums, conferences, seminars, and other academic activities; and to exchange research materials, publications, and pursue other appropriate forms of cooperation as mutually agreed.

The signing of the MoU contributes to strengthening cooperation between Viet Nam and Croatia in the fields of education, training, and foreign policy research, while also opening up new opportunities to foster connections among scholars, experts, and researchers of the two countries./.
