DAV students join study tour at Macquarie University (Australia) - Summer 2026

From 1 to 15 August 2026, nine students from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) are participating in a short-term study tour at Macquarie University in Australia. The program provides access to in-depth coursework in business and management, exposure to Australia’s advanced education system, and the opportunity to engage with faculty and peers from different countries. Through a series of academic and hands-on activities, students sharpen their English proficiency, broaden their knowledge, and build essential skills for international integration. Additionally, the tour offers valuable insights into Australian culture and expands the students’ global network, further strengthening the cooperative relationship between the DAV and Macquarie University. 

As part of the program, students attend classes and workshops taught directly by Macquarie University’s experienced faculty. The curriculum covers economics, business, management, and emerging trends in the digital economy, delivered through a modern teaching approach that combines theory, case studies, and hands-on activities. This provides students with exposure to an international academic environment while sharpening their analytical, critical-thinking, and cross-cultural collaboration skills. 

The curriculum is designed to accommodate students across a range of majors, offering tailored benefits depending on their specific fields of study. For students of International Economics and International Business, the sessions update their knowledge of business, finance, management, and emerging trends in the digital economy. For those in other majors, such as International Relations, International Communications, International Law, or English Language, the courses offer an interdisciplinary perspective that helps them better understand the role of economics in diplomacy, communications, and international cooperation. These varied insights enable students apply cross-disciplinary knowledge to their studies and research while building an strong foundation for their future careers. 

Combining academic coursework with practical international exchange, the program encourages students to actively join discussions, group work, and presentations. Studying in a multicultural environment alongside students from Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, and other countries allows students to refine their English communication and strengthen their teamwork skills. Furthermore, these collaborative activities deepen their understanding of cultural diversity and different learning approaches in an international setting. 

Beyond academic activities, DAV students also explored campus life at Macquarie University through a guided tour. Spanning 126 hectares, the university stands out for its harmonious blend of green space, modern facilities, and a wide range of amenities for study, research, and daily life. The tour gave students a closer look at study spaces, the library, lecture halls, sports complexes, dining facilities, and the convenient transport links connecting the campus to the city of Sydney. 

The 2026 summer study tour at Macquarie University provides DAV students with a wide range of educational and cultural exchange experiences. Through the program’s activities, students are able to apply their academic knowledge while building communication, teamwork, and presentation skills. The initiative also serves to strengthen the cooperative relationship to promote ongoing academic exchange between the DAV and Macquarie University. In the coming days, the students will continue attending classes, participating in hands-on activities, and joining Macquarie University’s Open Day, gaining further meaningful experiences as they study and explore Australia’s education system.
