DAV’s book fair “The hunt 2017”

The DAV Book Fair "The Hunt 2017" is a continuation of the success of the "Books and Reading Culture 2014, 2015, 2016" event - an annual activity of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam library which is organized by the DAV Book Club in order to provide a useful yet unique, creative and pervasive playground, thereby contributing to improving the reading culture in the DAV student community in particular and students in Hanoi in general. The program took place on April 14, 2017 at DAV.

The event is held in the form of "hunting" - hunting books, hunting games, hunting gifts... It has brought a closeness but also left a new and curious impression for the attendees.

  • Book hunting

There are numerous innovative activities in this event, of which the "Book Fair" is the focus and is completely non-profit. Books from major bookstores such as Nha Nam, Alpha, Thai Ha, TGM, Yolo, AZ… which was sale up to 30-40%, attracting a large number of students and teachers.

  • Game hunting

Along with the bookselling, "The hunt 2017" is also an opportunity for friends to share good books through the book introduction contest Flash Intro Offline at the event and the previous online contest on the fanpage.

A series of activities including the Amazing Race and the Ring the Golden Bell has brought a creative, dynamic playground for the attendees to express their knowledge about the contents and the authors of various genres.

  • Gift hunting

Through these games, the attendees receive cash and vouchers worth 50.000 - 200.000 VND at The Hunt, certificates, scholarships from the TGM sponsor worth 1.000.000 VND, scholarships from the Japanese center Mina, the Chinese center Cam Xu as well as books and gifts.

This event lasted for one day but it is the effort of the whole DAV Book Club with the supervision of the DAV library in 2 months. Despite being carried out by young students, they are full of enthusiasm and awareness of the significance of reading books. The event has sent a message of human values and practical meaning with a hope to contribute to the process of raising the reading culture among young Vietnamese.
