Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam 2020 - 2025 Council establishment

     On August 13th, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam solemnly organized the Plenary Meeting in a solemn manner to establish the 2020 - 2025 Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam Council.

     The meeting was attended by Mr. Pham Quang Hieu - Assistant to the Minister, Director of the Department of Personnel and Organization- Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Doan Xuan Hung - Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, former Ambassador of Vietnam to Japan & the Federal Republic of Germany, representatives of units in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, comrades in the Party Committee, Board of Directors of the Academy, leaders of Union organizations, the Academy's Youth Union, all officials, lecturers, employees and researchers.

     In the implementation of the Law Amending and Supplementing Articles of the Government’s Tertiary Education Law (Law No.34) 2018 and Decree No.99 2019 on specifically regulating and guiding the implementation of the Law Amending and Supplementing Supplementing articles of the Tertiary Education Law, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam’s Party Committee and leaders have planned and reported to the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the plan and process of establishing the Academy Council for the term 2020 - 2025. Following the direction of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam held a plenary conference to establish the Academy Council as planned.

The meeting’s attendees highly unanimously approved the plan to establish the Academy Council for the term 2020-2025, unified the number and conducted the member election. The election results showed that the elected candidates achieved a very high number of votes, promising to actively contribute to the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam’s policies, strategies and development plans. The list will be submitted to the Department of State for the Department's decision to recognize.

     This is the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam’s Academy Council for the first term. It is an important milestone for the next strong development phase of the Academy, especially in 2020, in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam's Diplomacy.
