ECOBOOK 2024 Event Series: “Preserving the Woodblock - Painting the Cloud Pattern” (Lưu Bản Mộc - Họa Đường Vân)

Throughout its duration, the ECOBOOK 2024 event series, themed “Preserving the Woodblock - Painting the Cloud Pattern,” attracted enthusiastic and vibrant participation from the student community both inside and outside the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

The highlight of the event series was the “Lưu Bản Mộc” (Preserving the Woodblock) activity, where students could exchange old books for green plants. This was a particularly meaningful activity, helping students save costs on purchasing new books while also offering them the opportunity to acquire valuable books for their studies and research. Furthermore, this activity encouraged students to collect old books and newspapers, contributing to recycling and minimizing the negative impact on the environment. The reuse of old books not only helps conserve natural resources but also spreads a strong message about maintaining the habit of reading and preserving the value of reading culture in the community.

Notably, the “Họa Đường Vân” (Painting the Cloud Pattern) Workshop provided a creative space where students could freely express their creativity through DIY projects made from recycled old items. The Workshop not only helped students create beautiful artistic products but also contributed to breathing life into materials that might otherwise have been forgotten.

According to the participating students, the "Họa Đường Vân" workshop was not just an opportunity to learn new skills but also a chance for everyone to share and connect in a creative environment.

Every activity in the event series brought enjoyable and beneficial experiences to the students. From learning skills to create environmentally friendly products through the workshop to contributing to environmental protection through the book-for-a-plant exchange, these efforts all helped raise community awareness about nature conservation and sustainable development. Crucially, the students did not just participate but also spread a powerful message about protecting the environment and promoting a reading culture.

The success of the ECOBOOK 2024 event series stemmed not only from its meaningful activities but also from the participation and contribution of the entire Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, particularly the Library Room and the DAV Book Club.
