The Faculty of International Economics is one of the five main faculties of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, with a long-standing history of development. Throughout its formation and growth, the Faculty has consistently been recognized for its high-quality and reputable training in the field of International Economics nationwide.

HISTORY OF FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Founded in 1977 with the mission of training foreign economic specialists for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government bodies, the Faculty of International Economics is one of the oldest institutions in Vietnam authorized to offer the International Economics program.

Today, in response to Vietnam’s rapid economic transformation and deepening global integration, the Faculty not only fulfills its traditional role of preparing officials for Vietnam’s political system but also focuses on developing skilled professionals for businesses, corporations, and organizations in various sectors, especially multinational enterprises and foreign-invested firms.

BACHELOR'S PROGRAMS

The Faculty of International Economics currently offers two undergraduate majors: International Economics and International Business. With a continuous commitment to curriculum modernization and innovative teaching methods, the Faculty equips students with solid foundational knowledge, essential professional skills, and up-to-date learning materials. These elements help learners develop strong analytical capabilities and foster logical, creative economic thinking.

FACULTY MEMBERS

The Faculty’s academic staff comprises highly qualified lecturers with strong professional expertise, trained at prestigious universities in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, China, and Japan. Alongside their academic backgrounds, many lecturers bring extensive practical experience, having worked at major domestic and international banks and corporations. A number of faculty members have also served as Ambassadors and Counselors at Vietnamese embassies abroad for many years.
