On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (19 August 1945 – 19 August 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2 September 1945 – 2 September 2025), students from the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy had the honor of joining the Vietnamese Overseas Community contingent in the commemorative parade at Ba Dinh Square—one of the country’s most sacred historical landmarks.

Dressed in a distinctive four-panel traditional costume, FIPAD students marched alongside various representative delegations through the historical streets of the capital before entering Ba Dinh Square. On this site, President Ho Chi Minh proclaimed the Declaration of Independence in 1945. Their presence contributed to the solemn and emotionally resonant atmosphere of this year’s national celebration.

To prepare for the event, the students underwent intensive training throughout August under the guidance of officers and soldiers from Division 301. They practiced formation techniques, synchronized marching, alignment, and ceremonial posture with discipline and dedication in all weather conditions. The students’ effort, determination, and professionalism were highly appreciated and regarded as a highlight in the preparation process for the parade.

Beyond training, FIPAD students also had the opportunity to interact with veterans who once traversed the Truong Son Trail, overseas Vietnamese participants from various countries, and members of the military, police, and mass organizations. These exchanges offered meaningful insights into the spirit of national unity, the sacrifices of previous generations, and the collective pride shared among the parade participants.

Participating in the 80th anniversary parade of the August Revolution and National Day was not only a symbolic honor but also a memorable experience for students of the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy. It reinforced their patriotism, national pride, and sense of civic responsibility—essential values that will accompany them as they continue to grow, contribute, and uphold the mission of Vietnam’s young diplomatic generation in the years ahead.
