FOIE Tournament of International Economics Faculty

FOIE Tournament is an annual event of the International Economics faculty, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. The fifth season of FOIE was organized on April 2018 which left numerous memorable experiences for the students and the teachers after 2 months.

With the aim of creating extracurricular activities, connecting each individual, building collective strength and still carrying economic identity, FOIE Tournament 2018 with the theme “Keep Changing” brought a whole new approach: Student start-up. Appearing in DAV for the first time, in order to spread entrepreneurship among the students, “Student Start-up” is a chance for the students to show their creative, unique and practical entrepreneur ideas.

On March 29th, the workshop “Building and concretizing entrepreneur ideas” marked the opening of FOIE Tournament 2018. The students had a chance to listen to valuable sharings and advice on start-up from guest speaker Truong Manh Quan - Founder & CEO của BEEKETING. At the same time, the workshop also brought them closer to the contest “Student Start-up”.

On April 14th, the top seven teams in the contest joined the consultant day, receiving valuable comments and lessons from the teachers of the International Economics faculty to complete the exam project.

The final round of FOIE Tournament 2018 which took place from 14h00 on April 21st 2018 left a number of impressive and memorable moments. The program was honored to receive special guests on the board of judges: H.E Ambassador, Vice President of the Viet Nam - Africa Friendship and Cooperation Association Phuong Cong Trong; Vice President of Hai Phat Real Estate Company; E-commerce Sales Manager of FPT Retail Tu Hoang Thai. The top seven groups brought professional presentations with impressive entrepreneur ideas. The board of judges chose the JIT group as the winner of the contest “Student Start-up 2018”.

Alongside the contest “Student Start-up”, the music contest took place with the attendance of every class in the International Economics faculty.
