Foreign Affairs Knowledge and Skills Training Course for Officials, Civil Servants, and Cadres of the Central Youth Union

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ngo Quang Anh, Acting Director of the Foreign Service Training Center, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed the honor of welcoming the participants to the course. He emphasized the importance and necessity of strengthening training and development for officials to play a crucial supporting role for the Party's foreign affairs and the State's diplomacy, contributing to the overall success of the country's foreign service. He hoped that the participants would make full use of the wealth of knowledge from the speakers, share experiences and acquire valuable knowledge and skills for their work. On this occasion, he also expressed gratitude to the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Youth Union for close cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam in organizing training courses over the years and looked forward to continued collaboration in the future.

The course was conducted by experienced experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam such as Ambassador Pham Cao Phong, Former Ambassador of Vietnam to Malaysia and Canada, Dr. Nguyen Hai Luu, Deputy Head of the Foreign Policy Planning Department, Dr. Nguyen Dong Anh, Assistant to Director General, Deputy Dean of Communication and Diplomatic Culture, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong, Head of the Professional Affairs, FOSET, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

The participants actively engaged in discussions with the speakers and group exercises according to the following topics: (i) Updates of the world and regional situation and Vietnam's foreign affairs; (ii) Vietnamese culture and skills in promoting Vietnamese culture in foreign affairs and international events; (iii) External relations communication skills and ethical behaviors on social media; (iv) Organizing and participating in receptions.

The feedback from the participants upon completion of the training course was very positive. The participants highly appreciated the participation of the leading experts in various fields, the organization of the course, and the usefulness to their work. They also expressed their desire to partake in other training courses on people-to-people relations organized by the Foreign Service Training Center, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
