Graduation thesis defence ceremony of Class 42 - International Economics Faculty

On the morning of May 20th, 2019, at the Tradition Room, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, five students from the Faculty of International Economics achieved high results in the graduation thesis defense session led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoang Linh - Head of the Faculty. In the defence ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Lich, Dr. Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu, Ma. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoan - KT42 Form teacher, Ma. Nguyen Minh Trang, along with friends and relatives of the five students, participated in the defence ceremony.

The defence ceremony took place in a serious atmosphere and in accordance with the regulations on bachelor's degree training. The five students presented the main research results of the thesis and answered clearly the questions raised by the Council. The Council highly appreciated the efforts of the five students participating in the defence session and their contributions to developing the research direction of the topic.

Student Le Thi Tuyet Ngan and topic "Technology transfer and resource development human resources in the period of Japanese industrialization "
Student Nguyen Duc Phuc - the only student who wrote and defended his thesis in English impressed the Council with a new, topical topic related to the Formula 1 Racing which would be held in Hanoi in 2020: “Socio-economic implications of organizing the F1 Grand Prix: Experience from regional states and practical application for Vietnam”.   
Student Quach Cong Thanh and topic "Free trade agreement Vietnam - EU: Opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese entrepreneurs".
Student Tran Van Hai also made an impression with the topic "The role of economic diplomacy for the Korean economy". Although this was a difficult topic because there were not many documents serving the research process, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Lich, who was also an instructor, acknowledged Hai’s efforts to dig deep and efforts to overcome difficulties. 
The Board concluded that all five students had made  great effort to successfully complete their defence and all deserved to receive an A for their thesis.
