Highlights from the Grand Finale of The D.I.P Game 2024: “A Journey Concludes, A Mission Continues”

On November 24, 2024, the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy of the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam held the Final Round of The D.I.P Game 2024: Sword of Ages – a competition to find talented student teams in International Relations, continuing the first success of the 2023 season.

The final night honourably welcomed the attendance of distinguished guests: His Excellency Đỗ Hùng Việt, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ambassador, Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thái Yên Hương, Former Vice President of the Diplomatic Academy, Chairperson of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights; Mrs. Phạm Thu Hằng, Director of the Press Information Department, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Nguyễn Thị Thìn, Vice President of the Diplomatic Academy; Dr. Nguyễn Hải Lưu, Deputy Director of the Foreign Policy Department; Mr. Nguyễn Vũ Minh, Deputy Director of the International Organizations Department; Mrs. Trần Nam Bình, Deputy Head of the Foreign Affairs Training and Development Center (FOSET); Mrs. Đỗ Tư Hiền, Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Academy’s Department of General Affairs as well as officials from units under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, faculty members from various departments, and more than 200 students from the Diplomatic Academy of VietNam.

At the opening speech, Deputy Minister Đỗ Hùng Việt said that he was taking pleasure in the creative spirit of the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy in creating such an engaging, meaningful, and practical competition. As a DAV alumnus, he expressed pride in the development of DAV students who embody the spirit of "Pioneering - Responsibility - Service; Integration - Diversity - Identity."

Speaking at the Grand Finale, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hà Anh Tuấn, Acting Head of the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy affirmed that The D.I.P Game originated from the vision and dedication of the Faculty, with the goal of creating a unique academic platform that embodies the Faculty's three core terms: Diplomacy, International, and Politics. He hoped that the competition would continually grow and expand, becoming an iconic academic competition, attracting participants not only from the academy but also from other universities. This would help promote exchange and learning among students who are passionate about international relations.

In this season, The D.I.P Game 2024 also gained great support from the For Vietnamese Stature Fund (VSF). Representing the Fund at the Grand Finale were Mrs. Trần Hồng Điệp, Director of VSF, and Mr. Vũ Xuân Thái, Manager Dynagen Program of the VSF. Delivering the closing remark, Mrs. Trần Hồng Điệp expressed her honour to accompany the event as a strategic partner of FIPAD. She also conveyed the message that knowledge, courage, and enthusiasm are invaluable companies for the younger generation of students embarking on a future filled with challenges and changes.

After three intense rounds, the Winning Teams were found: The Champion - "Người Mỹ Chùa Láng", The Second Prize - "4ELEMENTOS", Third Prize - "The Coopers" and "8386".
