The book "Specialized Diplomacy: New Directions and Priorities of Vietnamese Diplomacy in the Era of National Ascendance" has been upgraded, supplemented, and updated based on the book "Specialized Diplomacy: Directions, New Priorities of Vietnamese Diplomacy toward 2030" by a team of authors led by Dr. Vu Le Thai Hoang as editor-in-chief. It helps readers better understand the role of the diplomatic sector in the current era of increasingly deep international integration. The book's content focuses on analyzing international and regional experiences, combined with Vietnam's specific new situation. From there, the author group suggests policy implications for Vietnam in the context of the country entering a new era with new stature and strength, and new development requirements in a world with many new opportunities and challenges. The book consists of nine chapters presenting content on middle powers, science and technology diplomacy, diplomacy in the era of artificial intelligence, climate diplomacy, and diplomacy for food security, etc., with new perspectives; at the same time, it suggests some policy implications for Vietnam's foreign affairs in the new era – the era of the national ascendance.
