On the morning of May 25, the Thai Room at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam was transformed into a vibrant space overflowing with the colors and flavors of Korean culture. The "Korean Culture Festival 2024" welcomed a large number of enthusiastic students who participated in traditional folk games and enjoyed a series of exquisite and energetic musical performances. The sounds of laughter, blended with the rhythmic beats of K-pop Random Dance and engaging mini-games, painted a lively and memorable picture.
The afternoon featured a unique highlight: the workshop "Experiencing Korean Calligraphy '한글 아름다움'", with the special participation of Ms. Park Suhee, a renowned Korean calligraphy artist. Students not only explored the history and evolution of this art form but also immersed themselves in the world of delicate brushwork. The creative calligraphy competition provided a platform for students to showcase their skill and creativity, with attractive prizes awarded as a tribute to their dedication and passion.
On May 26, the Thai Room once again became a hub of knowledge and art as the Department of Korean Studies (Asia-Pacific Studies), in collaboration with the DKC - Korean Language and Culture Club, hosted the seminar “Korean Cinema: A Mirror to Society.” Three distinguished speakers—experts in Korean language, culture, and history—offered profound insights into Korean society and its people through the lens of cinema. The young audience not only appreciated high-caliber cinematic art but also engaged in spirited discussions, having their questions thoughtfully addressed by the experts.
The Department of Korean Studies and DKC hope that these events have provided students with invaluable knowledge and unforgettable experiences.
Let’s look back at these wonderful moments to further appreciate the power of culture and art in connecting communities and fostering personal growth!
