

With the aim of igniting students’ passion for research, encouraging and promoting the student scientific research movement, and creating conditions for students to foster creativity and apply the knowledge they have learned to solving practical problems, the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy (FIPAD) officially launches the 2nd FIPAD RESEARCH CONTEST.
ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS: All students of the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy. Students may register to participate individually or in groups (maximum of 3 members).
REQUIREMENTS:
Language: Vietnamese or English
The final complete submission must be a scientific journal article of 8,000 to 10,000 words
All research topics must have a supervising lecturer (students may choose/register a supervising lecturer within or outside the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy).

CONTEST TIMELINE (The timeline may change depending on the specific situation):
Round 1: Receiving research topics (01/04/2025 - 15/05/2025)
Students register their topics and submit the proposal (Journal Article Proposal) to the Organising Committee via email (deadline 15/05/2025): svnckhfipad@gmail.com (details on the format will be provided later).
Round 2: Implementing the topic (20/05/2025 - 20/08/2025)
The Council will review and announce the list of topics selected for Round 2 on 20/05/2025.
Selected groups will conduct research under the supervision of the supervising lecturer.
Submit the complete scientific journal article (deadline 20/08/2025): soft copy via email to svnckhfipad@gmail.com and hard copy to Room D629 (after 3:00 PM).
Round 3: The 2nd Student Scientific Research Workshop of the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy (Tentatively 30/09/2025)
The Council will evaluate and select 08 groups with the best papers to participate in the Academy-level Student Research Contest.
These 08 groups with the best scientific papers will present and discuss their work at the Faculty’s Student Scientific Research Conference.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
Research papers will be assessed according to the following criteria:
Novelty and necessity of the research (important)
Clear and consistent research methods, approaches, and theoretical framework
Good quality of analysis & argumentation
High-quality presentation format & academic writing style
AWARDS
The Academic Council will select the 08 most outstanding research groups to represent the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy in the Academy-level Student Research Contest at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
