Looking back at DAV Career Day 2025: A Series of Skill-Building Activities for Diplomatic Academy Students

The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam’s Career Fair - DAV Career Day 2025 - has successfully concluded, leaving a meaningful impact on the student community. Through a series of Workshops and Company Tours, the Program equipped DAV students with essential knowledge and practical skills, providing a solid foundation for future career pathways.

Workshops & Discussions: Enhancing Knowledge and Job Application Skills

Kicking off the Career Day series was the Workshop “Using Digital Tools in Job Search and Application,” held on April 9, 2025, with the goal of helping students elevate their employability skills in the digital era.

The Workshop welcomed Ms. Phạm Thị Minh Hiền - Head of Recruitment Consulting at FPT - iVIEC for Business - and Mr. Hoàng Ngọc Khánh - Senior Manager, Head of Business HR at FPT Retail. With practical experience and insights from the corporate environment, both speakers delivered inspiring and highly applicable sharing sessions.

The Workshop “Using Digital Tools in Job Search and Application” took place successfully.  

Following the success of the opening workshop, DAV Career Day 2025 continued with “The Impact of AI & Automation on Youth Employment in the Asia-Pacific,” held on April 15, 2025. The session featured representatives from embassies and enterprises, under the chairmanship of Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thìn - Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

The Workshop offered a comprehensive view of the ongoing transformations in the modern job market.   

On April 20, the panel discussion “Career Prospects at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam” attracted strong participation from DAV students. With speakers including Mr. Dương Thanh Bình - Deputy Chief of Office, DAV; Mr. Hà Anh Tuấn - Deputy Head of Training Department, DAV; and Ms. Nguyễn Diệu Hà - Head of Training, Recruitment, and Personnel Records, Department of Personnel, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the session provided essential information on recruitment processes while opening direct dialogue between students and professionals in the diplomatic field.

Concluding the workshop series was the talk “UK Calling”, co-organized with Vietint Education, on May 8. Students had the opportunity to meet representatives from eight leading universities in the United Kingdom, receiving guidance on study-abroad orientations, scholarship pathways, and necessary preparations for pursuing education in the UK.

Company Tours: Exploring Corporate Culture and Expanding Professional Networks

Alongside the Workshops, DAV Career Day collaborated with various partners to organize a series of Company Tours, offering students firsthand exposure to real-world corporate operations. The program included visits to: VCCorp Joint Stock Company, PRUVenture Office, Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance Company, UNDP Vietnam (United Nations Development Programme).
