

On 16 July 2012 - The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) organised an opening ceremony of the first intake class of Joint Training Master Programme between the DAV and Victoria University (New Zealand) under project 165 of Vietnam’s Government.
Present at the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thai Yen Huong, Vice President of the DAV, Mr. Roberto Rabel, Vice Rector of Victoria University (New Zealand); Mr. Nguyen Van Du, Chief of Office of Project 165; Mr. Alistair Crozier, New Zealand’s Minister Counselor in Vietnam as well as lecturers and students of the training course.

The Project 165 has been operating for three years. It has organised many training programme courses such as overseas Master training courses, overseas PhD training courses, English language classes, short-term training courses for department officers; joint training Master programme courses between one local university with another prestigious educational institution worldwide. The first intake Master class is one of the training programmes gaining great interest for the Project 165.

During the ceremony, Mr. Alistair Crozier, New Zealand’s Minister Counselor in Vietnam, highly appreciated cooperation as well as all the efforts put in by the DAV and Victoria University during the joint training process, including those for undergraduates and Master training courses. The joint programme will further develop relations between the Vietnamese and New Zealand governments.
