On the evening of October 29, 2024, the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy (FIPAD) held an orientation meeting with 3rd-year students in International Relations to introduce and guide them in selecting specialized courses for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.

The event was chaired by the leaders of the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy: Asso. Prof. Dr. Ha Anh Tuan, Acting Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Han, Deputy Dean. Simultaneously, Faculty members from the Department and a large number of K49 International Relations students attended the meeting.

Speaking on behalf of the Faculty's leaders, Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Han provided an overview of the International Relations curriculum and the specialized courses offered. Emphasizing the importance of selecting suitable courses for academic progress at the Academy and future career and research orientation, the Faculty's leaders and lecturers encouraged students to research and carefully consider their options.

Each specialized branch, including International Security and Area Studies (covering American Studies, Chinese Studies, ASEAN Studies, EU Studies, etc.), is taught by experienced lecturers, researchers, ambassadors, and former leaders directly involved in foreign affairs within the respective regions.

The meeting was also an opportunity for students to raise questions and concerns about choosing courses under the credit-based system, especially regarding how to determine which specialized field best suits them. These questions were addressed with practical and helpful advice from the Department's leaders and faculty.

Following this event, FIPAD will send out a survey to gather students' specific preferences for each course.

It is hoped that this orientation meeting has provided students with valuable information for their academic and research journey at the Diplomatic Academy./.
