

From April 22 to April 26, at Hall D of the Diplomatic Academy, the exhibition “50 years of national reunification - The country is united as one” was organized, attracting the engagement of a large number of Academy staff and students. In the atmosphere of the Reunification Day, the activity brought to the Academy's staff, lecturers and students a deeply moving and insightful artistic forum for reflecting on the nation's magnificent historical journey.

At the exhibition, many typical pictures and artifacts selected from the Vietnam Youth Museum were displayed. In particular, 21 flags representing 21 island points in the Truong Sa spratly islands, along with the National Flag, the Youth Union flag, Ho Chi Minh badge , the Intercosmos badge, President Ho Chi Minh Testament, the Declaration of Independence, brought into space by two astronauts Pham Tuan (Vietnam) and Viktor Vassilyevich Gorbatco (Soviet Union) during their flight around the Earth in July 1980. Each work, each item is a story, a slice of history clearly depicting the indomitable spirit and passionate patriotism of the nation in the defending for independence and national unification.

After being on display for five days, the exhibition received attention and positive response from a large number of staff, lecturers, and especially students in the Academy. During these historic April days, the exhibition space became a significant destination, where students had the opportunity to connect with the nation's historical depth, fostering pride, awareness of preserving traditional values and fostering responsibility to build and protect the nation.

At the exhibition, there was also a booth of woolen keychains made by disabled children, not only contributing to raising funds to support them but also spreading messages about determination, compassion, sharing and community spirit.

In addition, the exhibition also introduces to readers the book “Mắt trùng khơi” by authors Lu Mai and Tran Thanh - a collection of 18 emotional and realistic short stories depicting the portraits and resilient lives of marine soldiers at the forefront of the wind and waves, the silent people who guard the peace of the nation in the middle of the sea.

The exhibition “50 years of national reunification - The country is united as one” is not only an opportunity to remember and pay tribute to the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations, but also a profound reminder of the responsibility of today's young generation in preserving and promoting the fine traditional values of the nation./.
