

On the afternoon of May 29th 2020, at Conference Room B, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, the English Faculty held the Raymond E. Reamey Scholarship Awards Ceremony for the academic year 2019-2020.
Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thin - Deputy Head of Training Department, Dr. Nguyen Thi Cat Ngoc - Head of the English Department, representatives of the Faculties of the Academy, lecturers of the English Department, and 20 excellent scholarship-recipient students.

Since 2007, the Raymond E. Reamey Scholarship has become a great encouragement for the students of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. The scholarship was established in accordance with the wishes of Mr. Raymond E. Reamey - a US veteran, who worked for the Air Force at Cam Ranh port, south of Nha Trang for 34 years. This scholarship has been maintained by his family for many years in order to support students in difficult circumstances but achieved high academic results, especially those with good English skills.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Cat Ngoc - Head of the English Faculty, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, congratulated the students who received the scholarships and gave a few words of encouragement to the students present at the ceremony. Next, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thin - Deputy Head of the Training Department, expressed her deep gratitude to the Reameys, shared the joy with the students and encouraged them to continue promoting their learning spirit, and shared knowledge with all students of the Academy. She also expressed her wish for the Reamey family to continue paying attention to the Academy and the English Faculty.


On behalf of the 20 students receiving the 2020 Reamey scholarship, Do Thi Phuong Thao, a student of TA44C, gave a special word of thanks to teachers, relatives and friends who encouraged her during in the learning process. Phuong Thao also especially thanked the Reameys for their wholehearted support and motivation to help students of the Academy conquer many challenges on their learning and training path.

The scholarship ceremony took place in a simple, close and warm atmosphere; leaving a good impression on all guests and students attended.
