On 18 October 2025, the Faculty of International Law at DAV held a seminar on recognition in international law. Mr. Dương Đức Anh shared expert insights on challenges, implications, and the significance of recognition, helping students expand their understanding of this critical aspect of contemporary international legal practice.

On 18 October 2025, the Faculty of International Law at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam successfully organized a seminar on “Recognition Issues in International Law”, attracting enthusiastic participation from students keen to explore contemporary international legal challenges.

The seminar featured Mr. Dương Đức Anh, from the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the keynote speaker. Drawing on his professional experience, Mr. Dương provided in-depth insights into the complex legal concept of recognition in international law. He analyzed the diverse challenges faced by states, international organizations, and the global legal system, emphasizing the significance and practical implications of recognition in contemporary international relations.

During the session, students actively engaged in discussions and Q&A, gaining a broader understanding of how recognition affects state relations, treaty enforcement, diplomatic practice, and global governance. The seminar offered participants both theoretical knowledge and practical perspectives, enhancing their comprehension of the strategic, political, and legal dimensions of recognition.
