Student Exchange Program Studying And Experiencing At Gunma, Japan

         From February 15 to February 19, 2024, Gunma Prefecture, Japan and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) co-organized a short-term exchange program for the students of the DAV and Gunma University in the two cities of Gunma Prefecture, Japan: Maebashi and Tomioka. There, the students participated in a variety of thought-provoking lessons and had memorable experiences.

        The students of the DAV and Gunma University attended classes presented by Gunma University’s Professors on the topic of great concern: “Migration and its impacts on Tomioka-city's demography and economy”. The DAV's students paid a visit to the Gunma Prefecture Office and attended the talks delivered by Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu - Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan and Mr. Ichita Yamamoto - Governor of Gunma Prefecture. There, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu and Mr. Ichita Yamamoto had very practical and inspiring talks and discussions, imparting valuable insights to the students of the Academy on their path of studying and working in the field of foreign affairs.

        Also, within the framework of the program, the DAV’s students participated in many useful extracurricular activities, the most memorable of which were joining the Vietnam Festival in Gunma and exploring Ikaho Hot Spring together with the Gunma University’s students.

         Through this program, the students of the DAV not only have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge through lectures and practical experiences on culture and history, but also enhance and develop soft skills such as multilingual communication, presentation, teamwork, etc., when participating in international events. The program helps contribute to deepening the fine relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
