Students from the Faculty of International Politics & Diplomacy (FIPAD) win award at the “Chinese debate competition 2025” Grand Finale.

On May 25, 2025, the Chinese Language Club of Foreign Trade University hosted the final round of the “Chinese debate competition 2025” under the theme “Breakthrough: Aspiration to reach new heights and lead a new era.”

The Grand Finale featured six teams representing various universities across the country. Representing the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam was team 欢迎光临 (Warmly welcome) of 2 students majoring in Asia-Pacific Studies from FIPAD: Trần Bùi Ái Linh (CATBD49C40086), Phạm Quốc Đức (CATBD49C40017) and Phùng Xuân Giang (LQT51C10812).

The DAV team, 欢迎光临, was awarded the Consolation prize.

In the final round, teams participated in intense debates, taking the Proposition (defending the given motion) and Opposition (arguing against the given motion) sides. Following a series of highly competitive matches, with outstanding talent and teamwork, the DAV team, 欢迎光临, was awarded the Consolation prize.

The "Chinese Debate 2025" competition was truly a platform for connection and exchange among students who share a passion for the Chinese language. It was a valuable academic arena for contestants to learn from one another and sharpen their rhetorical skills. The competition is expected to continue attracting interest from DAV students in the coming years.
