Talkshow “A flight journey: Memories of Pham Tuan” - Vietnam's legacy in the Universe

At the Talkshow, students had the opportunity to interact with Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Hero of Labor Pham Tuan - the main speaker of the talkshow. In addition, the event also had the participation of Mr. Tran Van Tam - Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Friendship Association, Director of the Vietnam - Russia Cooperation Center; Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Director of the Youth Museum. On the side of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, the talkshow had the presence of Ms. Ly Thi Hai Yen - Head of the Department of Political Theory, Mr. Vu Tuan Anh - Head of the Department of Communication and Foreign Culture and Ms. Tran Ngoc Ninh - Deputy Head of the Department of Chinese along with representatives of the Departments, Faculties, units, lecturers and students.

During the Talkshow, lecturers and students had the opportunity to listen to Lieutenant General Pham Tuan share about the heroic years of fighting of the nation. He not only emotionally recounted the arduous but also proud journey of being trained to become a fighter pilot in the Soviet Union and the miracle of shooting down a B52 bomber in the sky of Hanoi. He also shared his pride in being the first Vietnamese and Asian to fly into space. 

At the Talkshow, the students actively participated in the exchange activities with Lieutenant General Pham Tuan. Through this, Hero Pham Tuan also sent profound messages to the Diplomatic students about the mission of the youth in the new era - need to constantly study, practice, cultivate courage and intelligence, continue the glorious tradition of their ancestors to contribute to building and protecting the nation in the context of integration and development today.

The Talkshow ended emotionally with a memorable moment when Lieutenant General Pham Tuan and lecturers and students of the Diplomatic Academy joined in the heroic melody of the song "Nối vòng tay lớn".
