The 60th Anniversary Celebration of the English Faculty (1959 - 2019)

Sharing joy with teachers of the English Faculty in this memorable milestone, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the leaders of the Academy, representatives of employers and generations of Lecturers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​and the Faculty of English, along with alumni attended the celebration ceremony.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Tung - Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, on behalf of the Academy’s Leaders and Course 16th Alumni, sent the most sincere congratulations and gratitude to the teachers of Freign Languages Faculty, the forerunner of the English Faculty for their great contribution to the development of the Foreign Languages Faculty, English Faculty and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thi Cat Ngoc - Dean of the English Faculty emotionally looked back on the development of the Faculty over the past 60 years, assessed the current situation and proposed the development direction of the Faculty in the coming time to promote tradition, and build a stronger English Faculty.

In that warm, emotional atmosphere, generations of teachers and students shared and reviewed memories together; frankly acknowledged the shortcomings that needed to be overcome; and sent trust and hope in the development of the English Faculty and the Academy in the future.

A very special and meaningful thing at the ceremony was the presence of teachers who had a strong attachment to the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and had laid the foundation for the development of the English Faculty today. Teacher Nguyen Canh Lam did not mind and managed to make the way from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi in the midst of the hot weather here, to attend the ceremony. He also did not forget to bring a meaningful gift of precious books to the English Faculty.

At the Ceremony, student Pham Duc Minh - Champion of the Face of the English Faculty - The E-face Contest 2019 officially debuted and delivered his congratulatory speech at the ceremony, before showing the musical excerpt "The Hunchback of Notre Dame Cathedral ”- the talent award-winning performance at The E-FACE 2019 Semifinals. Students who are currently studying at the English Faculty of many classes also had the opportunity to show their excellent and impressive performances instead of greetings and affection to send to the English Department in this special event.

The 60th Anniversary Celebration of the English Faculty ended in an atmosphere of attachment and emotion. This was a beautiful memory that will forever be kept in the history page of the English Faculty, so that generations of faculty and students always remembered the faculty with pride.
