"The Beauty of Chinese Culture 2022" contest

After nearly two weeks of launching, the first round, themed "Chinese Culture in My Eyes," attracted the enthusiastic participation of 20 teams from various Faculties and Departments within the Academy. In this round, teams were required to research a unique cultural feature of China, then film a short video introducing it and presenting their personal thoughts and experiences on that cultural feature. The Organizing Committee selected the 7 most outstanding teams to advance to the Final Round, which consisted of a live interview.

On the evening of December 17, 2022, the Final Round and Award Ceremony of "The Beauty of Chinese Culture 2022" contest officially took place. The judges for the Final Round included Ms. Do Tu Hien - Probationary Deputy Chief of the Office of the Diplomatic Academy, Mr. Phan Vu Tuan Anh - Acting Head of the Department of Chinese Language, Ms. Tran Ngoc Ninh - Deputy Head of the Department of Chinese Language, and Ms. Nguyen Minh Khue - Visiting Lecturer of the Department of Chinese Language.

In the Final Round, the competing teams had to answer cultural knowledge questions posed by the lecturers on the judging panel. With their excellent and impressive answers, the Overall First Prize was awarded to the team of contestants Hoang Ngoc Anh and Nguyen Thanh Huong (QHQT48C4); the Second Prize went to the team of contestants Tran Bui Ai Linh, Pham Quoc Duc, and Tang Thi Quynh Anh (TQH49C4); the Third Prize and the Most Popular Team Award went to the team of contestants Duong Thi My Le (LQT48A4) and Tran Ngoc Anh Thu (TTQT48B); and the Consolation Prizes were awarded to the two teams Bui Thu An (QHQT48A4) - Tran Ha Tue Minh (TTQT48A4) and Le Thuy Hien (TT47C4) - Hoang Duc Huy (CT47C4).

Notably, within the framework of "The Beauty of Chinese Culture 2022" contest, students also had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with traditional Chinese art forms such as paper cutting, knot weaving, lantern decorating, and wearing Hanfu. This activity was honored by the participation of expert lecturers from the Confucius Institute at Hanoi University. Under the dedicated guidance of the expert lecturers, students gained a better understanding of some distinctive Chinese cultural features and created their own products.

"The Beauty of Chinese Culture 2022" contest served as a beneficial playground for students of the Diplomatic Academy to interact and learn more about the culture and arts of China. Concluding the program, the students gained more useful knowledge, interesting experiences, and further ignited their passion for the Chinese language and culture.
