The E-face 2019 Finale

After attractive rounds, The E-FACE 2019 finale, part of a series of events celebrating the 60th anniversary of the English Faculty, was successfully held on the evening of April 19th, 2019 at the Hall A, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. The contest had found a representative with typical qualities of English Faculty students in order to spread good values to students inside and outside the Academy.

The contest "The E-FACE 2019" was launched on March 11th, 2019 with the aim of finding a representative to spread the English-major students’ identities to students inside and outside the Academy. The contest strongly attracted the attention of many students. After 3 rounds of competition, the 8 most talented contestants received a golden ticket to the Final round.

In the finale, 8 contestants went through two extremely unique rounds converging many culture’s identities. The contestants presented unique performances of traditional costumes from 8 countries and regions using English as their official or popular language. Through the presentations on costumes, the contestants showed their knowledge and talent to promote their image, dynamism and modernity.

Entering the eloquence round, with comprehensive knowledge, creative thinking ability and confidence, 8 contestants excellently showed their rhetoric on topics related to international issues such as globalization, migration, global warming, etc. The competition made a great impression on the judges and the audience.

After 2 rounds of the contest, 3 best candidates including: Pham Duc Minh (TA45C), Do Thi Phuong Thao (TA44C) and Bui Thi Hien Phuong (TA44C) were chosen by the judges, Progressed to the behavioral round. This round is the most awaited one and also the one that helps the 3 candidates to show off their own knowledge, talents and qualities.

With smart behavior, creativity and confidence, contestant Pham Duc Minh (TA45C) had become the champion of The E-FACE 2019.

The E-FACE 2019 Finale took place with great success and was an impressive milestone in the 60th anniversary of the English Faculty. The E-FACE is a typical program aiming to discover the student representative of the English Faculty in a new, extremely dynamic age, with a spirit of deep integration and proactive anticipating modern trends.
