

From July 2nd, 2018 to July 4th, 2018 at the State Room - Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, a training course on self-assessment and education quality assurance took place with the lectures of the experts coming from the Center for Institute for Education Quality Assurance of Hanoi National University. The training course was attended by the Self-Assessment Council, specialized groups, Secretariat, Head/Vice-Unit, staff, and lecturers of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. Delivering the speech at the opening of the training class, Dr. Pham Lan Dung, Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam emphasized the purpose and meaning of the training course were helping staff and trainers have an overview of the quality assurance and accreditation of higher education in Vietnam. Thereby they could understand the role and meaning of quality accreditation in ensuring the quality of education, grasp the higher education institution quality accreditation process and frequency, and the perspective of approaching the new set of higher education institutions quality assessment standards according to Circular 12/2017/TT-BGDĐT.
The training course took place in an exciting and active atmosphere with the interaction of speakers, experts, and trainees. The training session provided basic knowledge of quality assurance and testing activities. It provided a connection between experts and participants to share experiences, to discuss basic self-assessment skills, skills in building quality assurance databases to specifically implement activities and works to improve the quality of education in the Academy.
At the end of the training course, the participants grasped the rules, standards and approaches. They could apply the learned content into real situations to improve skills to make the process of doing self - assessment and education quality assurance better and better.
