On April 22, at Hall A, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, the Library Room and the Center for Information and Library Resources (CITL) collaborated with the DAV Book Club to organize the TALKSHOW “TĨNH" (STILLNESS) with speaker SUNHUYN and the WORKSHOP “LẶNG” (SILENCE).

After nearly one month of planning and preparation in response to Vietnam Book Day 2023, the event successfully attracted nearly 300 students from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and several other universities. The atmosphere was vibrant and hotter than ever with the presence of Sunhuyn- a content creator, YouTuber, and blogger - who was the speaker for the talkshow “Tĩnh” Lặng (Stillness and Silence). She offered students incredibly genuine insights into the mental difficulties and emotional hurts they face, as well as methods to overcome them. One particularly noteworthy method she highlighted was reading books. Whether feeling sad, happy, or angry, one can turn to books to relieve or soothe those emotions.

Along with this, she provided specific book recommendations suitable for different emotional states, such as the book "Anger" by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. According to her, “Reading is also a way for us to meditate and find inner stillness.” She also asserted that: “Everything will return to its core value, so you must be truly patient with yourself.” Little by little, you will be rewarded.

In the WORKSHOP “LẶNG” (SILENCE), participants enjoyed creative and exciting activities like crocheting and painting under the enthusiastic guidance of artisans and artists.

The “TĨNH VÀ LẶNG” (STILLNESS AND SILENCE) 2023 event created a cheerful and beneficial cultural space for all readers. Through this event, DAV students in particular, and the younger generation in general, who have a passion for books, were further informed about the benefits and importance of reading in their studies, character development, and healing emotional wounds. It also contributed to spreading the love of reading within the community.
