The book “The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement and its Impact on Vietnam” studies the negotiation process among the 12 member countries, thereby offering analyses and assessments of the TPP’s impact on the region and the world in general, and on Vietnam and its international integration process in particular.
International integration has become an important and essential issue for all nations worldwide. Regional integration is one of the trends chosen by many countries to gradually advance toward global integration. The establishment of an agreement like the TPP will create a foundation to promote economic development for member countries amid the fierce global competition today. This is considered a good sign for less-developed economies like Vietnam. The TPP negotiation is viewed as one of the most complex and most important opening-up negotiations for Vietnam in the coming time. So, what is the TPP? And how will it impact Vietnam?
The book “The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement and its Impact on Vietnam” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan researches the negotiation process of the 12 member countries, subsequently providing analyses and assessments of the TPP's impact on the region and the world in general, and on Vietnam and its international integration process in particular. Through this, the book evaluates the impact on Vietnam's economic development trajectory in the future and simultaneously proposes policy recommendations for Vietnam aimed at maximizing benefits and minimizing risks to seize the opportunity for further development.
