India is one of the cradles of ancient human civilization and is a major country that plays an important geopolitical role not only in the South Asian region or in the vast Indian Ocean region but also on the international political stage today. In the past two decades since the end of the Cold War, besides the rise of China, India's development has become a phenomenon that has received much attention and drafts. Many forecasts say that from now until 2030, India will rise to third place in the world in terms of economy, fourth in the world in terms of military, becoming a power with an important role and influence in the security and political structure that is taking shape in the Asia-Pacific region and the region connecting the two oceans of the Indian Ocean - Pacific.

Vietnam and India officially established diplomatic relations in 1972, however, the close relationship between the leaders and people of the two countries was laid the foundation by President Ho Chi Minh and President Nehru long before that. This good relationship has been maintained and promoted domestically by the two countries over the past time, and has now been upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Vietnam - India relations also play an important role in the current foreign affairs of Vietnam and in the general future of Vietnam's foreign relations with the entire Asia - Pacific region as well as in the international arena.

In order to help readers understand more about an important aspect of modern India, the Truth Political Publishing House publishes the book "Development trends and policies of India towards Asia - Pacific in 2030". The book reviews India's foreign views and activities since the Cold War until now, analyzes the objective and subjective characteristics of India to make forecasts about India's foreign policy towards the Asia - Pacific region in the future. This forecast also provides a scientific basis for Vietnam's foreign policy planning to develop Vietnam - India relations in the most effective direction, taking advantage of India's increasing role in the region. By providing and using a theoretical framework on national power and the relationship between power and national foreign policy, demonstrated by scientifically based and realistic analysis and forecasts on the case of India, the book can be used as a textbook for in-depth training programs on international relations and foreign policy, especially in issues related to India and middle-power countries in Vietnam.
