Ceremony to hand over the Decision to appoint Professors, Associate professors in DAV in 2019

On December 24th, 2019, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) held a ceremony to announce decisions on meeting standards of the title Professor and Associate professor and handing over the 2019 decisions to appoint Professors and Associate professors for 03 lectures in the Traditional Room. Lecturers appointed Professor and Associate Professor in Politics Studies in 2019 of the DAV are Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Vu Tung, Dr. Tran Viet Thai and Dr. Dang Cam Tu.

Attending the ceremony were Member of the Central Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, professors participating in the appraisal of candidates’ profiles, The DAV Board of Directors, Institution Professor Council 2019, Dean, Deputy dean, departments, centres, research institutions, staffs and lecturers of the Faculties of International Politics and Diplomatic Studies along with the staff of DAV. 

In her opening remarks, President of the DAV Institution Professor Council 2019 Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thai Yen Huong announced the Decisions of the State Council for Professorship on the recognition of the title of Professor and Associate Professor in 2019.

DAV Vice President Dr. Pham Lan Dung announced the Decision on the appointment of Professor in Politics Studies for Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Tung and the Decision on the appointment of Associate Professor in Politics Studies for Dr. Tran Viet Thai and Dr. Dang Cam Tu.

Member of the Central Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son handed over the Decision to appoint Professor title to the new Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Tung and the Decision to appoint Associate Professor title to the new Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Viet Thai and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Cam Tu. In his speech, Bui Thanh Son sent his congratulation to the DAV and new appointed Professor, Associate Professors in 2019. He also recognized the efforts and results achieved by the teachers and stressed that this was an important step in strengthening the contingent of highly qualified faculty with scientific titles for the Diplomatic Academy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Up to now, the DAV has 3 Professors and 14 Associate Professors currently working. 

On behalf of the newly appointed Professor and Associate Professors, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Tung expressed his deep appreciation to leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DAV Board of Directors, DAV Institution Professor Council 2019, professors participating in the appraisal of candidates’ profiles, the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomatic Studies as well as the Education and Training Board. He also thanked the staff of DAV for the strong support during the preparation and review of applications. He promised to continually devote himself to the teaching and scientific research career of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, to constantly strive for fulfilling the tasks and responsibilities of the title Professor and to support the young generation of lecturers and researches of DAV in scientific studies.
