Dialogue between ASEAN Secretary-General and ASEAN Youth at DAV 2024

The Dialogue program took place with the participation of ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Do Hung Viet; Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Head of the Vietnamese Senior Officials Meeting on Youth (SOMY); Ambassadors from ASEAN countries and Timor Leste, representatives from the Central Youth Union, various ministries involved in ASEAN cooperation, Central Offices, ASEAN embassies in Hanoi; Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, Miss Grand International, a representative young face of Vietnam who held a speech at the Dialogue; representatives of youth from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members from various universities in Hanoi, and students from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

The Dialogue is a significant activity aimed at connecting ASEAN youth, fostering dialogue, and contributing to the development of a cohesive and prosperous ASEAN community and collaboratively shaping the future of the region. Following the Dialogue, the delegates and Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son attended the inauguration of the ASEAN Square. This event holds great significance, symbolizing the importance of ASEAN cooperation and the role of youth in shaping the future of the region.

The Dialogue between ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn and the youth of ASEAN countries was held successfully in an enthusiastic and open atmosphere, highlighting the role of ASEAN youth in contributing to the future of the Community. The Dialogue also contributed to affirming and enhancing Vietnam's position regionally and internationally.
