

The awarding ceremony of the Decision to confer the Ambassador title took place immediately after President Vo Van Thuong met with Heads of Vietnamese Representative Agencies abroad led by Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son to report on foreign affairs on the occasion of the 32nd Diplomatic Conference.
Attending the ceremony were 85 Ambassadors, Heads of Vietnamese Representative Agencies abroad and 26 nominated Ambassadors, Heads of Representative Agencies, leaders and key officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The President affirmed that this is the highest diplomatic title, demonstrating the Party and State's recognition of the contributions of Ambassadors in foreign affairs of the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Vo Van Thuong emphasized that Party and State leaders highly appreciate the contributions of foreign affairs work, considering this a "typical bright spot" in the country's overall achievements last time.
This is not only the recognition of the Party, the State and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Ambassador Pham Lan Dung personally, but also the honor and pride of the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam for its contributions in research, training and channel II diplomacy of the Academy in recent times.
