First Announcement of the Academic Conference on Chinese Language and Chinese Studies 2025 for Students (CCLS 2025)

Call for Papers

To promote scientific research and in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations, the Faculty of Chinese Language at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) is organizing an Academic Conference on Chinese Language and Chinese Studies for students, particularly those passionate about the Chinese language and culture.

This conference is expected to serve not only as a valuable academic forum but also as an opportunity for students to enhance creativity and problem-solving skills in the fields of Chinese linguistics and Chinese studies. It is also a crucial preparation step for students to improve their specialized knowledge, research skills, and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical issues. Through this event, students will have the chance to explore new ideas, engage with professors and experts, and expand their network with like-minded peers.

This is not only an event to commemorate a significant milestone in Vietnam-China diplomatic relations but also an occasion to promote educational and research cooperation, contributing to the development of a dynamic and innovative academic community. The conference aims to inspire a passion for learning, research, and innovation among DAV students in general and Chinese Language students in particular.

Conference Details & Key Dates

📍 Topics:

The conference welcomes discussions on, but is not limited to, the following topics:

•The application of information technology in the research, teaching, and learning of the Chinese language

•Studies on phonetics, vocabulary, grammar, semantics, pragmatics, and discourse analysis of the Chinese language

•Research on Chinese, Japanese, and Korean for specific purposes (e.g., politics, economics, media, law, etc.)

•Chinese studies in regional and global contexts

•Translation studies and the application of artificial intelligence in translation

•Comparative studies of Asian languages

📍 Eligibility:

•Students currently enrolled at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV)

•Students from other institutions with experience in scientific research

📍 Participation Format:

•Individual or group submissions (maximum 3 members per group)

📍 Conference Language:

•Papers and presentations can be in Vietnamese or Chinese

📍 Registration Deadline:

•Before January 19, 2025, for DAV students

•Before February 18, 2025, for external students
