Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Participates in the “Four-Team Friendly Football Tournament”

On March 17, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including students from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, took part in a friendly football tournament celebrating the 93rd anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam Public Employees’ Trade Union, and the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union. The tournament featured four teams representing: the Central Inspection Committee, the Central Organization Commission, the Central Propaganda Department, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The opening ceremony was attended by: Tran Thi Hien, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Inspection Committee; Nguyen Manh Hung, Member of the Central Inspection Committee, Member of the Party Committee Standing Board, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Committee; Tran Quoc Binh, Director of Department II; Khuat Huu Duc, Member of the Trade Union Standing Board, Deputy Director of Department II; Tran Anh Duc, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Central Inspection Committee.

Representatives from the Central Organization Commission included Pham Quang Ha, Deputy Director of Department V; Hoang Xuan Thoai, Deputy Director of the Personnel Policy Department; and Nguyen Ngoc Dan, Secretary of the Youth Union. From the Central Propaganda Department, Vu Khac Kien, Head of the Foreign Languages Section of the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, attended. From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Do Ngoc Thuy, Chairman of the Ministry’s Trade Union, was present. A large number of students from the Diplomatic Academy also joined the event.

In his opening remarks, Nguyen Manh Hung, Member of the Central Inspection Committee, Member of the Party Committee Standing Board, Chairman of the Trade Union, emphasized that the tournament provides a healthy platform for staff and students to improve fitness, while also demonstrating discipline, teamwork, and the collective spirit of each participating unit.

Following the opening ceremony, representatives of the four teams and the referees took an oath to strictly abide by the rules. On behalf of the players, Bui Van Duan, Deputy Director of Department I, Central Inspection Committee, highlighted that the tournament is a forum for friendly exchange, learning, and strengthening unity among units. Representing the referees, Do Duc Thanh pledged to officiate the matches honestly, fairly, and impartially.

Throughout the tournament, matches were exciting and intense, with impressive goals and remarkable skills on display. Notably, young players from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs showcased exceptional football techniques, teamwork, and dedication.

At the conclusion of the tournament, teams received awards and took commemorative photos. In the final ranking, the Youth Football Team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs won third place, leaving a memorable mark on the tournament.
