

On the side of the Center for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University Hanoi, the ceremony was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan - Vice Director and Chairman of the Accreditation Council of VNU-CEA. On the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam side, the ceremony was attended by Dr. Pham Lan Dung - Standing Vice Chair of the DAV Council, Dr. Nguyen Hung Son - Acting President of the Academy, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin - Deputy President of the Academy, along with the staff, lecturers, employees and students of the Academy.
The event commenced with an announcement of the decision of recognizing DAV’s compliance with higher education institutional accreditation standards, delivered by Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen - Head of the Testing and Quality Assurance Department. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan, accompanied by officials of the VNU-CEA, then presented the Accreditation Certificate and offered congratulations flowers to the Academy’s Board of Directors. In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan emphasized the significance of the institutional education accreditation standards issued by the Minister of Education and Training and realized the collective efforts of DAV’s Board of Directors, staff, lecturers, employees and students in completing both the self-assessment and external assessment processes.
Following the awarding ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Hung Son delivered a speech reaffirming DAV’s commitment to embracing the evaluation results provided by the accreditation committee. He further emphasized the importance of this second-cycle accreditation milestone as a pivotal step in DAV’s development. On behalf of the Academy, Dr. Son expressed gratitude for the support and guidance from the VNU-CEA and conveyed DAV’s aspiration to further collaborate with the center’s experts to build on existing strengths and address limitations. Through these efforts, DAV aims to continually enhance its training quality to meet the growing expectations of learners and society, and to reinforce its reputation in both national and international higher education landscapes.
The ceremony ended in a celebratory atmosphere, marking a new chapter in DAV’s pursuit of educational excellence. With the recommendations from the accreditation committee, DAV has completed its 2025–2029 action plan for quality improvement. The Academy looks forward to continued achievements in reforming and enhancing teaching, research, and university governance, thereby sustaining its reputation in the field of education and the broader mission of Vietnamese diplomacy.
