

On the afternoon of November 12, 2025, Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University (French Republic), led by Mr. Manuel Jobert, Vice President in charge of International Relations and Francophone Cooperation, along with professors, visited and worked at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV). The two sides exchanged directions for developing cooperation in the fields of Francophone training and research; directions for renewing the cooperation agreement regarding the Chaire Senghor de la Francophonie in Hanoi; plans to relaunch the joint Master's program; and measures to promote extensive cooperation in training, scientific research, and international cooperation.

Representing the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam were Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin, Vice President of the Academy; Mr. Duong Thanh Binh, Deputy Chief of Office, in charge of Francophonie at the Academy; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Head of the Department of Postgraduate Studies, Vice President of the Chaire Senghor Francophone Network (RICSF); Dr. Nguyen Hoang Nhu Thanh, Dean of the Faculty of French, representative of RICSF in Hanoi, along with lecturers from the Faculty of French.
At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin emphasized that Lyon 3 University is a traditional partner of the Academy, holding high prestige in the Francophone and international academic communities. The meeting held significant importance in maintaining and promoting cooperation in training, research, and international publishing between the two sides.

The two sides exchanged directions for developing cooperation in the field of Francophone training and research. Many important contents were discussed: directions for renewing the cooperation agreement regarding the Chaire Senghor de la Francophonie in Hanoi; plans to relaunch the joint Master's program; and measures to promote extensive cooperation in training, scientific research, and international publishing.


For his part, Mr. Manuel Jobert, Vice President of Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University, expressed his pleasure in visiting the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and highly appreciated the traditional cooperation relationship between the two training institutions. He affirmed Lyon 3 University's desire to continue consolidating and developing the partnership, especially through considering the implementation of the specific cooperation programs discussed.

The meeting took place successfully in an open atmosphere of mutual understanding. The two sides agreed to continue exchanging detailed information on joint programs, student and lecturer exchanges, as well as the possibility of coordinating to organize training courses on innovation, sustainable development, and international diplomacy. Lyon 3 University expressed its desire to participate more deeply in cooperation activities between the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and Asian partners, including South Korea and Australia. This event not only strengthens the traditional partnership between the two sides but also opens up many new cooperation opportunities, contributing to improving the quality of training and research, and enhancing the position of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam in the Francophone and international communities./.
